A race between adolescence and academics

Academics made it in a faster pace

Slept during the preps, hated teachers and school too

Received letters from boys from the neighboring schools

Her beautiful eyes 

I see something so beautiful

A reflection of my future

Beauty in the way she fell in love with my demons  the same demons I thought she’d fret
